Recently, the fellow who served as the real-life inspiration for Moe the Bartender on THE SIMPSONS stepped forward.

This has inspired me to reveal another such Big Secret.

John Kessel--who, through his long-standing Hollywood connections, was known to Matt Groening as far back as 1989--was the model for Lenny Leonard!

But there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Jim Kelly, of necessity, must then have been the model for Carl!

Iceland Airwaves Festival

Okay, all you protest kids -- who knows anything about Iceland? (I know KT Laity does -- help, Obi-Wan!)

I'll be in Reykjavik October 17-22 to attend the Airwaves Music Festival. Not as a writer, but as a new music geek/arctic cultures head. I'm a teensy-weensy bit above the Airwaves target age demographic, so, like, I don't need a couch to crash on, or someone to do Jagermeister shots with (unless, you know, they're totally hot).

I've got a hotel room and a festival pass, I've read the Lonely Planet Iceland & LP Reykjavik guides, also Arnaldur Indridason's SILENT AS THE GRAVE (JAR CITY's next).

What else do I need? Any hot tips as to stuff to see/do/avoid? For example, this looks like fun:
