Thanks to Ellen Kushner for sending me this link to a short play about Henry Darger, produced and performed by Chicago's Steppenwolf Theater and broadcast by BBC 3.  The performance is 90 minutes long; the link will be live for only four more days, so check it out while you can.

Music in the dark

The world's earliest musical instrument — a 35,000-year-old bone flute — found in the same cave in Southwest Germany where the oldest Venus figure was recently discovered.  Be sure to click to hear a clip of music played on a replica of the bone flute.***
